There has been a rise in police sirens in my area in the last week or so. If I'm out on the sidewalk when this happens, others look at me as if I'm about to be apprehended. But they always end up disappointed. There must be a small fraction of my readers who don't watch television. I imagine they get the most out of my writing. They have been less influenced by the unnecessary and defamatory TV trials I've endured for every word of my life I've shared online since 2006. When the rest of the public lose faith in me, this core group of believers are put under pressure. For now it appears to be safe for them to say they trust me, but until I am rich, I would invite them to abandon me at the first sign of trouble. Just don't abandon me to television. That's not fair. I'm not going to expect everyone to start reading books or taking walks to avoid TV's influence. Maybe they should try DVD's. That's what I use. |
